Google will demonstrate today an integration of its accelerated mobile pages (AMP) into its Gmail email platform. The integration will enable more interactive emails that feature continuously updating information. Potential applications of the new software include continuously updating flight information or retail prices that adjust in real time to show email recipients more accurate information. The AMP email integration will be available to other email providers and the first version will be targeted to bulk email senders.
Google has announced that current testers for the AMP email integration are Booking.com, Doodle, and Pinterest.
